World Aids Awareness Day Noted in South Africa

As Africa commemorates World Aids Day many are looking for a cure or vaccination.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds the key to the prevention of this horrible disease.

The Church in an explanation of basic doctrine, ‘Article of Faith 13', states;

 “We believe in being honest true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men.”

Also, in the pamphlet For the Strength of Youth,

          “Physical intimacy between husband and wife is beautiful and sacred. It is ordained of God for the creation of children and for the expression of love between husband and wife. God has commanded that sexual intimacy be reserved for marriage.”

               You protect yourself from the spiritual and emotional damage that come from sharing sexual intimacy outside marriage. You also protect yourself from harmful diseases. Remaining sexually pure helps you to be confident and truly happy and improves your ability to make good decisions now and in the future."

Having no intimacy before marriage and perfect fidelity after marriage is the Lord’s

standard.

Could it possibly be the only way to truely combat HIV/AIDS?

Following the standard set forth by God Himself, is a sure way to protect ones self, and family.
