350 Young Single Adults (YSA) from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints converged in South Africa for the convention of a life-time. The annual YSA Convention was held at Camp Discovery, north of Pretoria, in a game reserve called Dinokeng. Most participants came from the Gauteng Stakes (multi-congregations), but were also joined by excited YSA's from Durban, Nelspruit, Cape Town and Polokwane. Additional enthusiastic young adults travelled from as far as Namibia, Mozambique and Botswana.
The weekend’s convention was full of fun and adventure and was a non-stop celebration of youthfulness and integrity. It was a spiritual harvest, as well as about as much fun as you can imagine - game drives, obstacle courses, Hawaiian dancing, sports, team-building, eco walking, and unity along the way. From the dawn testimony meeting, to the testimony of a General Authority, Elder Carl B. Cook, each partipant left with new friends, stronger faith and a desire to be a little better.
Organised by the Johannesburg Stake in South Africa, one can only say that YSA can also mean “You’re So Awesome”!
