Presiding at the conference was Elder Kevin S. Hamilton accompanied by Elder T. Jackson Mkhabela who are both Seventies serving in the Africa South East Area.
Elder Kevin S. Hamilton extended heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing stake presidency, President Robert O’Friel, President Trevor T Keyes and President T Bethuel Matsoso, for their faithful long time service to the members in the Bedfordview Stake. Elder Mkhabela then went on to present the new stake presidency who were unanimously sustained by the members. President Vusimuzi N Msiza succeeds President Robert O’Friel as Stake President, with President Teboho B Matsoso as first counsellor and President Dirk J Vetten as second counsellor.
The Bedfordview Stake is one of the oldest stakes within South Africa with its original borders extending as far as Lesotho. The Stake borders currently extend from Alexandra in the North, Edenvale and Germiston to the East, Alberton to the West with the Southern boundaries extending into the Vaal area (Vereeniging/Sharpeville).
Everyone wished the past stake presidency all success in their new callings and thanked them for nearly a decade of faithful service. They have each touched the lives of the members for good as they served and led them with diligence and love. They are greatly appreciated and loved in return.
The members of the Bedfordview Stake look forward with great excitement to working with the new stake presidency. President Msiza’s humble testimony at the conference touched the hearts of the listeners who look forward to receiving his council, direction and support in the future.
