Church members looking forward to General Conference: Sept 30-Oct 1

A time for wise counsel, inspired messages and personal revelation

News Release

It will soon be General Conference, and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can look forward to the opportunity to receive counsel from The First Presidency, members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other General Authorities and General Officers of the Church.

The 187th Semiannual General Conference of the Church will take place on September 30-October 1, 2017.

Conference also provides an opportunity to receive personal revelation as living prophets give counsel and direction. Those of other faiths are welcome to participate in general conference. Members are also encouraged to invite others in person or using social media.

All sessions of general conference will be streamed live on the home page of LDS.org. They will also be available via the Church satellite system, Mormon Channel, radio, television, satellite, and other digital channels.

"As you prepare for general conference, I invite you to ponder questions you need to have answered. … There are messages in each general conference given as a gift and a blessing from heaven specifically for our personal life situations."

- President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

General Conference messages will be delivered in six sessions, originating from the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah:

- The general women’s session for sisters ages eight and older will be Saturday, September 23, at 6:00 p.m. mountain daylight time (MDT).

- The general priesthood session for priesthood holders will be Saturday, September 30, at 6:00 p.m. MDT.

- The general sessions for individuals and families will be Saturday and Sunday, September 30 and October 1, at 10:00 a.m-12 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.-4 p.m. MDT.
